We welcome all who want to volunteer with us, even if you aren’t a member yet! You can volunteer as much (or as little) as you want. Below are just some of the ways you can help.

Communications Committee Chair (or Co-Chairs)* – Drives the strategy and planning for digital media and print. Also develops content as needed and with assistance from Steering Committee, etc.
Digital Media Assistants – Hands on assistant to do posting on social media and website.
Graphic Designers – Creates digital media and print materials. Works with Communications Committee Chair(s) and Digital Media Assistant(s).
Voters Guide Assistants – Help VG project lead develop candidate questions and contact/follow up with candidates. Help post lawn signs just prior to Election Day.
Tabling Leads* and Assistants – For one or more community/school events, staff our LWVS information hub (table).
New Member Coordinators* – Creates and delivers welcome/orientation sessions, and matches new members with buddies.
Debate Coordinators – Assists with one or more debates. Does advance work, promotion, audience question gathering.
Special Events Coordinators – LWV events such as this year’s 100th Anniversary celebration of our Stamford Chapter.
Project Leads – Take lead on a project of interest to you. Some examples – essay contest, youth videos.
Feet on the Street – Knock on doors (in pairs) in low turnout neighbourhoods to deliver voter information.
Writers – Draft new materials such as FAQs and one-pagers for the What It Is & Why It Matters series.
Fact Checkers – Researches/confirms key voter dates and steps, data points, etc.
*Must be a member to volunteer in this position. All others are open to nonmembers (though we hope you join!)
